Gene gave a silent chuckle, his shoulders shaking a little as he did so. He got the plates, handing them to Alex. It felt very domesticated. Perhaps even a little poofy, but at the same time it was nice. He and the ex-missus hadn't done things like that. His dinner was on the table when he came home at night - well, at least in the beginning. Towards the end it was in the bin more often than not.
